How We Work

A clear path from first call to baby’s first day home.

Surrogacy is a layered, deeply personal journey. Here is exactly what to expect at every step, in plain language.

01

Consultation

Everything begins with a private, no-pressure conversation. We listen to your story, learn where you are in your journey, and walk you through what surrogacy with Rocky Mountain Surrogacy actually looks like — start to finish.

For intended parents, this is also when we begin discussing your ideal match: geographic preferences, communication style, openness to multiples, and the values that matter most to your family. For prospective carriers, this is when we walk through qualifications, compensation, and what your role will look like.

02

Agreement

Once we are formally engaged, we move into matching and screening. Intended parents review carrier profiles, and prospective carriers review intended parent profiles, until both sides feel a genuine, heartfelt fit. We then coordinate comprehensive medical clearance with the IVF clinic and a thorough psychological evaluation for the carrier and her partner.

With matching and screening complete, we step into the legal phase. Intended parents and carriers each retain their own independent reproductive law attorney. Contracts cover compensation, expectations, sensitive medical decisions, and parentage. Only after contracts are signed does the medical journey begin.

03

Conception & Pregnancy

Embryo transfer is coordinated with your IVF clinic. From the moment of transfer through confirmation of pregnancy, your agency team is in close, regular contact with the carrier and the intended parents. We help schedule appointments, answer questions late at night, and translate the medical updates so nobody is ever left guessing.

Throughout pregnancy, carriers receive monthly support group access, optional relaxation therapy, thoughtful gifts at key milestones, and a maternity wardrobe stipend. Intended parents receive consistent updates, ultrasound photos, and the chance to build a real relationship with their carrier on their own terms.

04

Bringing Baby Home

As the third trimester nears, we coordinate hospital plans, parentage orders, birth-certificate paperwork, and (for international intended parents) any consular or travel logistics. Our team is on call throughout labor and delivery so both the carrier and the intended parents feel calm, prepared, and supported.

After delivery, we continue to support the carrier through postpartum recovery and the intended parents through the early days of welcoming their child. Many of our families and carriers stay in touch for years — that, more than anything, is what tells us we have done this right.

Why Our Process Works

Because it was built by someone who has lived it. Every step of our process is shaped by Tess Hine’s real-world perspective as a two-time gestational surrogate. Boutique means small caseloads, direct relationships, and 24/7 access — not call centers and not handoffs.
