Step Two: Personal Review by Our Team

After you send your form, a real person reads it. We don't use a computer to screen you. Every form gets a human review.

Our team checks your health info and pregnancy history. You must be 21 to 38. You need a healthy BMI. You must have had at least one baby with no big problems. You can't smoke. You must be a U.S. citizen or resident.

If your form looks good, we call you. If we have questions, we ask. We don't say no without talking to you first.

You hear back in a few days. Our screening standards follow ASRM guidelines for gestational carriers.

Check the full surrogacy age requirements to see if you qualify. The Office on Women's Health also has general pregnancy health resources.

  • Age 21–38
  • Healthy BMI
  • At least one prior successful pregnancy with no major complications while still parenting or closely involved with that child
  • Non-smoker
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Step Three: Your Initial Phone Call

The call is your time to ask anything about the surrogate application process. There's no pressure and no commitment.

Your coordinator walks you through the full timeline: matching, legal work, medical screening, and pregnancy. You learn about pay. Base starts at $60,000 for first-time surrogates. Plus a monthly allowance. Plus extra benefits.

We also learn more about you. We ask about your support at home and your comfort level with different families. We ask about your schedule.

The call takes 30 to 45 minutes. After, both sides decide if it's a good fit.

Next comes surrogacy screening steps. You do medical tests and a psych talk.
